Cycling Entertainment for the Week of March 22

READING
First up is from the blog // The Inner Ring.  I always enjoy this blog and his take on cycling and stories that usually aren't being told.  Here is another great insight into some of the current new stars in cycling and how one race in 2010 predicted great things from them all.

Anytime you can combine witty humor and cycling I'm likely to enjoy it.  "Blazin' Saddles" writing for Eurosport never fails to make me smile.  As the fall of Andy Schleck is hitting full force, Mr. Saddles gives his take on the latest elevator episode involving Andy Schleck.

MILAN - SANREMO
One of the oldest and definitely the longest classics took place last weekend (you guessed it, from Milan and ending in Sanremo).  The race is just under 300 km in length (180 miles) and has a few short painful climbs right near the end.  This year the race was interrupted by a rain/ice storm.  Good writing and humor abound in the post by Race Junkie (no clue who this really is).

WATCHING

If reading is just too laborious  perhaps watching a short film is more up your alley.  Granted, I prefer Cosmo Catalano's (aka Cyclocosm) videos to most articles anyway.  Keeping the theme to the humorous and witty, Cyclocosm delivers in fine form as always.

TECHNICAL
Lots of scrutiny has come upon Sky Pro Cycling team lately and their use of power meters in racing.  While most of us don't have to worry about this controversy in our own cycling lives, if you want some confirmation or motivation for getting a power meter, read up.  Nate Dunn of Data Driven Athlete has a list "FOR" and "AGAINST" getting a power meter.

Here is a good personal interest story about my former Mechanic, Fernando Tapia, by the "Manual For Speed" guys.  Fernando always did a great job of keeping our bikes and wheels in great shape.  I'm glad to see him back in the game and I hope he gets a chance to work full-time for a quality team soon.

LISTENING
If you like a thick Scottish (and maybe Irish) accent talking about cycling, then wait no longer for your chance to hear the EuroSport Cycling Podcast.  Sign up, subscribe and enjoy.
